Apprentice Motor Technician

Wexford Car Centre is currently seeking an Apprentice Motor Technician to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to start a career in the motor industry while earning a qualification and gaining hands-on experience in a modern workshop environment.

Upon successful completion of SOLAS training, you will achieve an internationally recognised QQI Level 6 qualification.

The Role

As an apprentice technician, you will work alongside experienced and qualified technicians while completing structured training. You will gain practical, on-the-job experience across all aspects of vehicle servicing, diagnostics, and repairs while progressing through your SOLAS apprenticeship.

• You will be employed and paid from day one
• A minimum of the national minimum wage will apply once employment begins
• Pay will increase as you progress through the apprenticeship phases

The Ideal Candidate

• Full driver’s licence is an advantage but not essential
• Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied, or pre-apprenticeship course completed
• Mechanical experience is beneficial but not required
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Good problem-solving ability
• Positive “can-do” attitude
• Genuine interest in cars and the motor industry
