Food Services Manager

Whites of Wexford are now recruiting for a Food Services Manager to join their team. We are looking for a candidate who engages well with guests and who can lead their team effectively with flair and skill. They must be someone who exudes a passion for service experiences and shows genuine heartfelt care for their team and our guests.

  • Proven experience in hotel operations management or a similar leadership role within the hospitality industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of hotel all departments
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a hands-on, solutions-focused approach.
  • Ability to manage budgets, forecast revenue, and control costs effectively.
  • Familiarity general hotel software.
  • Understanding of health & safety, legal compliance, and employment regulations.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including weekends

The Role:

  • Oversee day-to-day food services operations across the hotel
  • Ensure high standards of guest satisfaction and address any guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
  • Supervise, train, and support departmental managers and staff, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
  • Monitor labour, expenses, and profitability to ensure operational efficiency and cost control.
  • Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards to enhance productivity and guest experience.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, licensing, and employment regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure maintenance and cleanliness standards are upheld.
  • Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations of staff.
  • Analyse occupancy trends, guest feedback, and service reports to drive continuous improvement.

Successful candidates for this job will:

  • Must have at least 2 years of luxury 4 or 5 star experience within a similar role
  • Demonstrate a strong leadership presence and take a proactive hands on role in order to identify and support colleagues on all levels
  • Be an inspirational leader who is passionate about creating highly energised teams to provide world class service
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a pressured environment with high expectation guests
