Sales & Events Executive

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced professional to join Whites of Wexford. The ideal candidate must have a proven track record working previously in a 4 or 5-star hotel as an events coordinator or similar.

This role will focus on event planning and implementation through liaising daily/weekly with the Operations Team within the hotel.

The Sales & Events Executive must maintain open communication between clients, have excellent attention to detail and must be a highly organised individual, ensuring prompt and exceptional customer care at all times and to provide clear and concise reports as required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·        Respond to all event, wedding and conference enquiries in a timely fashion (email, phone, walk-in)

·        Responsible for delivering and exceeding customer expectations both on the telephone and in person

·        Ensure a timely and accurate response to all customer enquiries, providing information, quotations, proposals and contracts

·        Ensure detailed files are maintained

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

·        Negotiate packages and drive sales

·        Manage client expectations and always over deliver

·        Handle all customer enquiries and complaints according to the hotel’s expectations ensuring guests are happy on departure

·        Ensure that customer comments are relayed to the department for follow-up

·        Actively promote events within the hotel and aim to maximise sales opportunities.

·        Be aware of competitors, packages, product, marketing

·        Daily administration duties in the office within the Events team

·        Attend off site events where required

·        Sales responsibilities involving showing potential customers around the hotel and upselling every department therein, looking out for new business avenues by cold calling, telephone sales, mail shots etc

·        Preparing and maintaining administrative documentation with respect to events, implementing proper filing procedures, and ensuring computer system is always updated and accurate.

The ideal candidate for this position:

  • Must have 1+ years previous experience in a similar sales or events role
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have a positive outlook.
  • Must be standards driven and customer focused.
  • An excellent command of the English language
  • Excellent organisational skills
