Operations Assistant

Responsibilities

– The purpose of the role is to schedule collections and deliveries from Ireland / Europe / Ireland.

– Ensure that routes are planned utilising in-house systems in order to deliver maximum cost efficiencies and service to the customer while maintaining maximum revenue on own fleet vehicles.

– Coordinate and organise loads/orders within the transportation team.

– Plan, manage and consolidate loads and routes to ensure cost-effective transportation and that orders are completed on time.

– Manage and respond to email inbox in a professional and timely manner

– Work closely with our partners & drivers to ensure jobs are in line with customer requirements and specifications.

– Engage directly with clients & drivers to provide regular updates on job collection/delivery times.

– Engage directly with Shipping lines to ensure on time shipping to / from various ports.

– To display and promote a positive work environment through respecting & supporting work colleagues in the completion of all duties as directed.

– Comply fully with the defined policy and processes

– Adhere to Health and Safety training, and report any concerns to the relevant parties.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: From €28,000.00 per year
