Night Porter

Seafield Hotel & Spa Resort wish to recruit a Night Porter to work within our Front Office team during overnight hours.

We are seeking a reliable, guest-focused individual who enjoys delivering excellent service and ensuring that every guest feels safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the night.

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, the Night Porter will be responsible for overseeing hotel operations during the night shift and acting as the main point of contact for guests after hours.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide efficient, courteous, and professional service to all guests throughout the night.
  • Assist with guest check-ins, check-outs, room allocations, and issuing room keys as required.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to guest queries, requests, and feedback.
  • Deliver guest messages as required and provide wake-up calls.
  • Carry out night audit procedures and ensure accurate cash handling and safe preparation.
  • Conduct regular Fire Walks, ensuring fire exits are clear and safety standards are maintained.
  • Ensure health & safety regulations are adhered to and emergency procedures are followed at all times.
  • Complete incident and accident reports when necessary and report maintenance issues to the maintenance team.
  • Maintain all public areas in a clean, secure, and well-presented condition.
  • Provide a clear, detailed, and accurate handover to the morning team.

Minimum Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a 3 or 4-star hotel is preferred.
  • Experience with HotSoft or similar hotel management systems is an advantage.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work independently, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible, with the ability to work night shifts.
  • Proficient level of spoken and written English.
