Exciting Opportunity for a Metal Fabricator in Wexford, Ireland

WH Scott Group is seeking a skilled and motivated Metal Fabricator to join our growing team in Wexford, Ireland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and assembling metal structures and lifting equipment to a high standard, working from technical drawings and specifications provided by our design and projects teams. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented fabricator with strong welding skills and a commitment to quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities

· Read, interpret, and fabricate components from technical drawings and specifications

· Measure, cut, bend, and assemble steel components accurately

· Competently and safely operate welding, cutting, and drilling equipment

· Perform MIG/MAG welding to a high standard (essential)

· Inspect and test finished products to ensure compliance with specifications

· Assist with workshop assembly, testing, and finishing of lifting equipment

· Carry out general workshop duties, including painting of fabricated equipment

· Maintain high standards of quality, workmanship, and attention to detail

· Work in accordance with company health & safety policies and procedures

· Collaborate with team members to improve fabrication methods, efficiency, and cost control

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment

· Operate in line with Company values at all times

· Undertake any other reasonable duties as required

Requirements & Qualifications

· Proven experience in metal fabrication and welding

· Ability to weld using MIG/MAG welders is essential

· Mechanical knowledge and experience using workshop tools and equipment

· Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship

· Proficiency in basic mathematics for measurements and calculations

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team

· Job Type: Permanent or Fixed-Term Contract

· Location: Wexford, Ireland

· Pay Rate: €16.00 €17.00 per hour, depending on experience
