Lean Co-Ordinator

The Lean Co-Ordinator is responsible for providing support for and guiding theĀ development of Lean projects (continuous improvement), promoting understanding and applications of Lean principles. The Lean Co-Ordinator will develop strong working relationships with all levels of staff to sustain a continuous improvement Lean culture within the site. They will have responsibility for identifying, developing, and implementing the Lean programme for the site.

Key Responsibilities:

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Work with management to develop Lean mindset and Lean-oriented processes to improve efficiency and standardize work.

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Manage the Lean requirements of the site with the central Lean Team.

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Partner with staff to collect observations, ideas, and solutions to ensure continuous improvement of processes.

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Provide ongoing guidance/training on Lean.

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Support theĀ management team to ensure all continuous improvement projects are implemented within agreed time frames.

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Continuously review electricity and water usage as part of energy management efforts.

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Develop Site & Lean meetings to effectively focus the team, highlight the right problems, ensure root causes are agreed and addressed, or the issue is escalated at the right time.

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Develop understanding of 5S principles and embed these within the workplace.

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Lead by example, upholding the company’s values in all areas of work.

Essential Requirements:

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Experience in improving processes

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ability to identify issues and resolve them quickly

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Lean Qualification preferable

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, with experience in the meat or food industry considered desirable but not essential.

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills.

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ability to work independently, demonstrate innovation, and manage multiple tasks while prioritising effectively.

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Capability to influence stakeholders at all levels within the organisation.

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā To agree meaningful Site and Departmental Key Performance Metrics and keep themĀ updated accurately, ensuring that the right issues are escalated.

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Ā·Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Experience working with multidisciplinary groups and stakeholders both on-site and within the broader organization.

The Lean Co-Ordinator will be reporting directly to the Site General Manager
