Duty Manager

The Brandon House Hotel is a well-established and welcoming hotel known for delivering high standards of service and exceptional guest experiences. We are now seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Duty Manager to join our management team.

The Role

This is a key management position within the hotel and is ideal for an energetic, customer-focused professional who is looking to progress their career within a growing hospitality business.

Reporting to the General Manager, the Duty Manager will oversee and manage all aspects of hotel operations during their shift, with a strong emphasis on Food & Beverage and Front of House departments. You will play a vital role in maintaining service standards, enhancing the guest experience, and supporting the overall commercial success of the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily hotel operations under the guidance of the General Manager
• Ensure high standards of quality and service across Food & Beverage and Front of House
• Lead, motivate, and support team members on shift
• Handle guest queries and resolve issues in a professional and efficient manner
• Support sales initiatives and promote new and diverse business opportunities within Food & Beverage
• Assist in optimising revenue, controlling costs, and improving profitability
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company standards

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience in a hotel supervisory or management role
• Strong customer service skills with a passion for hospitality
• Good knowledge of hotel operations, particularly Food & Beverage
• Energetic, highly motivated, and professional in approach
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Flexible and able to work across a rotating schedule
