Checkout / General Assistants

We are currently looking for Checkout / General Assistants to become part of our friendly and dedicated team.

As a Checkout / General Assistant, you’ll play an important role in delivering excellent customer service and ensuring smooth and efficient transactions at the checkout.

We are hiring for the following positions:

1. General Position (25 hours/week)

• You must be fully flexible and available to work weekdays, weekends, mornings, and evenings.
• Please note: This position does not suit students due to weekday and morning shifts.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older due to the sale of alcohol and cigarettes.

2. Evening / Weekend Position

• Availability for evening shifts during the week and weekends is essential.
• Applicants must be 18 years or older due to the sale of alcohol and cigarettes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately scanning and bagging customer purchases
• Processing payments at the checkout
• Assisting customers with queries or concerns
• Keeping the checkout area clean, tidy, and well-organized
• Contributing positively to a team environment
• Taking initiative and showing flexibility in your role
• Maintaining a professional and polite manner at all times
• Supporting high standards and paying close attention to detail
• Thriving in a fast-paced retail setting
