Since 2011, The School Food Company been dedicated to serving fresh, healthy lunches that are cooked daily onsite in our kitchens which we install in schools.We are seeking a hands‑on Catering Team Leader to manage kitchen operations and lead our catering team.
Location: St, Joseph’s Bree National School, Bree, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford
Team Leader: Hours: Approx 30 hrs/week, Mon–Fri (Term‑time only)
Part Time Catering Assistant: Approx 10-18 hours per week
Shift: Approx 8.00am -2.30pm
Start date: Subject to Garda Vetting clearance.
Role Overview
- Cook fresh meals daily (no raw meat handled)
- Oversee and manage daily operations
- Manage weekly rosters
- Order stock and liaise with food suppliers
- Maintain HACCP and Company standards
- Provide support to nearby schools within a 30‑minute drive
- Oversee delivery of lunches to classrooms
Requirements
- Experience in cooking, catering, and team leadership
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- HACCP training an advantage
- Garda Vetting and Child Protection Course required
