Warehouse Operator – Administrator

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Operator/Administrator will play a crucial role in the Warehouse function within our Gorey team at Signode. As part of the Supply Chain team, you will play a key role working alongside our Sales, Commercial and Operations functions to ensure the optimal management of supply from sources to customers.

Content of position:

• Shipment and load processing as material is available for distribution.
• Load planning on groupage shipments.
• Ensure visitors are recorded for Health & Safety reasons.
• Booking of transportation in accordance with carrier agreements and pricing
• Preparation of all necessary documents for shipping such as packaging slip, B/L, labels etc.
•  Responsible for the movement of finished goods to external warehouses.
•  Inventory movement through management and stock control
•  Retain records of all Raw materials delivered for invoice processing.
•  Be responsible for housekeeping & Safety standards in the warehouse and report any issues that arise.
• Support the Warehouse Manager where required with other duties or tasks including purchasing.
• Research for continuous improvement, shipping, packaging & materials.

Job requirements

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Forklift license and experience
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft word / excel
• Experience of continuous improvement
