The Riverside Park Hotel located on the banks of the River Slaney in Co. Wexford have a fantastic opportunity for a Reception Manager or an Assistant Reception Manager looking to take the next step in their career.

Job Purpose:

The Front Desk is the beating heart of the hotel, where our guest experience starts. We are looking for someone who is passionate about ensuring our guests’ enquiries are dealt with in a courteous manner to make sure they have an enjoyable and memorable time. To ensure all reception duties run smoothly and are carried out in the correct fashion.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring our guests have a positive and seamless experience from check-in to check-out.
  • Handling guest queries and concerns. Addressing any requests to guarantee their satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with departments, like housekeeping and maintenance to meet guest needs.
  • Utilizing Hotsoft and SiteMinder for reservations, guest check-ins, and financial transactions.
  • Supervising and leading the front office team, including receptionists, concierge, and porters.
  • Scheduling shifts, managing workloads, and ensuring appropriate staffing levels for the front of house and reservation team.
  • Providing ongoing training for staff on customer service standards, software, and hotel procedures.
  • Motivating the team to achieve high levels of service and encouraging professional growth.
  • Managing the reservation system, overseeing room allocations, and ensuring accurate billing.
  • Preparing reports, such as daily occupancy, revenue, and forecasts for the management team.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, as well as local regulations and hotel policies.
  • Working with the sales and marketing teams to maximise occupancy rates and room revenue.
  • Liaise with accounts to ensure all billing is correct
  • Managing overbookings and walk-in guests to optimize room sales.
  • Collecting and analysing customer feedback to improve services and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitoring expenses related to front office operations.
  • Any Ad Hoc duties such as attending HOD Meetings.
